Gary T. Weiss is a Partner in the Tax and Accounting Department of White, Zuckerman, Warsavsky, Luna, Wolf & Hunt, LLP. He is responsible for the delivery of tax and accounting services to clients,
which consist principally of small business enterprises and individuals. These clients cover a broad
range of professions and industries including non-profit, manufacturing, food service, real estate,
entertainment, construction and apparel.
Prior to joining White, Zuckerman, Warsavsky, Luna, Wolf & Hunt, LLP, Mr. Weiss was a Partner in
his own firm, WeissChase & Co., where he also served a broad array of business enterprises and
individuals. One of his major clients at WeissChase & Co. was the Pasadena Mental Health Center
where he performed a single audit related to its federal grants.
Mr. Weiss has planned and supervised many audits of small businesses (construction, wholesale
gasoline distributors, wholesale building materials, wholesale party goods), non-profit organizations
and 401(k) limited scope audits. He has extensive experience in business consulting including cash
planning, operations budgeting, and he regularly advises clients on areas to improve operating
efficiency and profitability. He is a financial consultant to a major start-up non-profit entity,
TheatreVision. He also provides litigation support services relating to fraud investigations and other
litigation matters.
Mr. Weiss is well versed in all aspects of income taxation, including non-profit tax reporting. He
regularly represents small business clients during government audits of business and sales taxes. He
is also knowledgeable in estate tax planning.
Mr. Weiss has extensive experience with many of the current accounting software programs such as
Quickbooks Pro, MAS90 and Peachtree. Mr. Weiss has consulted with many small businesses
regarding choice of software package, installation, upgrades, training and day-to-day usage of the
product, as well as selecting, purchasing and installing hardware systems.
Mr. Weiss received his Bachelor of Science degree from Cal State Dominguez Hills in Accounting
and a Masters in Business Taxation from the University of Southern California. He is a Certified
Public Accountant and member of the American Institute of Certified Accountants, and the California
Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Weiss is the Treasurer for the Conejo Las Virgenes
Future Foundation and is a board member of The Center for Grief and Loss for Children.
